Images, demo content and brand marks

What you may keep from the demo content, how to upload your own images for the best performance, and the third-party logos you must replace before publishing.

Every template opens with demo content so you can see the layout before you touch it. Here is what that content is, what you may keep, and what you must replace.

Demo copy

Company names, projects, client names, team members, figures and testimonials in the demo content are fictional. Replace them; none of it is meant to be published as is.

Demo photography and illustrations

The images in images/placeholders/ are original artwork created for this theme and are licensed with it: you may keep them, edit them and publish them on sites you build with Mistral Pro. You may not redistribute them on their own or as part of another product.

They are sized for their slots (all under 1 MB), and every module serves them through HubSpot's native image resizing with a srcset, so swapping in your own photography does not cost you performance.

Upload your own images

  1. Export a source at least as wide as the slot it will fill (a hero or banner: about 2000 px wide; a card or portrait: 800 to 1200 px; an avatar: 200 px) and keep it light (JPEG for photographs, PNG or SVG for logos).
  2. Upload it to the File Manager (Marketing → Files and Templates → Files) or directly from the image field of the module.
  3. Fill the alt text — every image field in the theme has one. Leave it empty only for purely decorative images.
  4. Let HubSpot do the rest: each module requests the sizes it needs and HubSpot resizes on demand, serving lighter formats to browsers that support them.

Third-party brand marks — read this before publishing

The demo content of the Technology ecosystem with orbiting logos module on the home page displays the real logos of third-party products (images/brand/stack-*.svg: HubSpot, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, Figma, Webflow, Semrush, Mailchimp, TikTok), and its default node names also mention Salesforce, Shopify, Stripe and Canva. The Client logo marquee ships with fictional company names and no logo files at all.

Those logos and names are the trademarks of their respective owners. They are included as an illustration of what the module is for — showing a technology stack — and they are not licensed to you by Mistral Studio. Before you publish, either:

  • replace them with the marks you are entitled to display — each orbit node takes your own SVG or PNG, or falls back to a monogram (initials) and a colour you choose; or
  • make sure you hold the right to display them, for example under the owner's brand guidelines or a partner programme.

The same applies to any logo you add to the Client logo marquee or to any other module.

Set your logo once in Settings → Content → Themes → Mistral Pro → Edit theme settings → Header; it inherits your brand kit (Settings → Account defaults → Branding) until you change it. Add a Logo on dark backgrounds if your logo is dark: it is used while the header is transparent over a dark hero. The footer and the landing page header and footer have their own logo fields, all inheriting the brand kit.

Licence

Licence terms — for the theme, the demo artwork and the third-party marks — are in license.txt at the root of the theme folder. See Support.
